Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with geriatric patients, focusing on diagnosing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. The Speech Therapist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication skills.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Provide therapy sessions to patients in various settings.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and effective communication strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support overall patient development.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy practices.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to speech production.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills to identify individual needs effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
